A young couple on the verge of breaking up set out on a last-chance camping trip, alone in the forest, just the two of them…
and a mysterious killer on the loose. As tensions rise and secrets begin to unravel, their romantic getaway quickly turns into a bloody mess.

I never thought I would make a horror comedy, but life has a strange sense of humor. I wanted to write something dramatic, something meaningful, but quickly realized I could not compete with reality. The world outside was already terrifying enough.
Therefore, I turned in the opposite direction. I leaned into the absurd, the ridiculous, and the bloody. I made a horror comedy about a couple on the verge of breaking up who find themselves caught in something much darker than their own dysfunction — a killer on the loose, and a love on the edge.

Repulsive is a story about fear, but also about connection, about that moment when you do not know whether to run away from the person you are with, or toward them. The relationship in the film (minus the murders and cannibalism, thankfully...) drawn from my own experiences: the chaos, the denial, and the strange comfort we find even in broken relationships. In a time of real-world horror, I chose to laugh — and to bleed a little too.
